I am going to be setting up an indoor worm composting bin. I chose a Worm Factory 360 because it is a well established product with lots of positive reviews.
I have a DIY worm composting bin made from 5 gallon buckets but I have not been able to get good results with it so I decided to try the Worm Factory 360 because I believe it is the best worm composting bin on the market today. It is a relatively small worm bin that does not take up a lot of floor space.
Can You Keep A Worm Bin Inside?
Yes you can keep a worm bin inside. It is odorless and the worms will probably do better inside. An outside worm bin will be subject to more temperature swings and worms like a stable cool environment.

How Do You Set Up An Indoor Worm Farm?
I dont have my worms yet unfortunately. I was waiting to see if there was a voucher with my worm farm so I could get a discount on them. Unfortunately there wasn’t one. I did find out you can order the Worm Factory 360 with worms for slightly more money and wish I had.
So now I will be ordering my worms and when they arrive I will have a video of setting up my worm composting bin and unboxing the worms.

Adding The Worms To My Indoor Worm Bin
So my worms arrived today. Yay! I prepared the first tray in my worm factory. I laid down a sheet of paper and covered it with a mix of coco, newspaper clippings, rock dust and pumice.
I also added a few banana peels and some coffee grounds in one corner for the worms to eat. Then I covered everything with a piece of moist paper and put the lid on.
These composting worms arrived in great shape. I ordered 1000 worms but I am not going to try and count them. They clump up naturally as a defense but they were soon wiggling around and starting to travel in the bedding.
At this point the best thing to do is leave them alone. They dont like light so constantly peeking in on them is disruptive. So I wont check on them for a few days.
