Here is a video where I explain a bit about SIPS or sub irrigated planters. How do they work? What are the advantages? Are they hard to build or expensive to buy? Watch the video and find out!
I hope this video was of some help. Although I may not have answered all your questions you probably have a better idea of what a SIP is and how it works.
Not everyone wants to grow indoors or create a system like this and I realize that. SIPS or sub irrigated planters can be as simple as a 5 gallon bucket with no moving parts. Most everyone has a bucket laying around and if not there’s always Lowes or Home Depot. So here is a great kit that I use outdoors for my veggies and it works great.
Sub Irrigated Planters On YouTube
I recently started a YouTube channel called Sub Irrigated Planter that you can check out and hopefully subscribe to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClQ3kokj6CzBH4uUXB5VPlg? I need 100 subscribers to get a custom URL that is shorter!
It is brand new so not much on it yet but that will change. I plan to feature some other videos about sub irrigated planters too. That way you wont just have my take on them.
Unfortunately YouTube is not that fond of medical marijuana patients that grow their own medicine. In order to not get deleted. (again)
I have to age restrict cannabis videos. So most of my videos will only show the pots and planter beds and not the plants themselves. For those videos, if you are 21 you can go to my other channel https://www.youtube.com/c/420GROWER1
For those that want some more information on sub irrigated planters there is a Wikipedia article for you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sub-irrigated_planter
By the way, if you notice smoke wafting through the video it is from a cigarette LOL.
